Hi There!
I'm Yutaan Lin — a Chinese + Taiwanese illustrator, photographer, graphic artist, and industrial designer from South Africa, and the creative behind Orangutaan Design Studio.
I studied industrial design in Vancouver, British Columbia and have worked across a wide array of industries, including:
• Health design research and improvement
• Design & community workshop facilitation
• Leadership Development
• Public space activation
• Urban furniture design
The through-line in my creative work is a strong drive for intentionality, adaptability, consistency and attention to detail. I am very rarely satisfied if I feel like a creative stone or pathway has been left unturned or untapped; it is my goal to get the best results through diligence, problem-solving and creative thinking.
On the side, I enjoy shooting and developing analogue film, and climbing. You can often find me outdoors, trying to do both at the same time.
