The armature assistive healing arm sling was an exercise in rapid prototyping with 3D LIDAR scanning and 3D printing.
Using consumer-level scanning and 3D printing devices, the goal of this project was to design a product that could be rapidly prototyped and iterated upon.
Blending different versions of the PLA plastic prints in size, shape, weight, and structure with different configurations of textiles attachments, we were able to come up with a concept arm sling prototype that was designed for accessibility, convenience, weight, ergonomic ease, and customizeability.
